Training Course: Social Media Literacy for Woman Rights and Exploring Bulgaria

From the 9th of June until the 16th of June 2022, Act Global Team left Bali to attend the second training course for “Social Media Literacy for Woman Rights”. Tria and Jasmine were selected as the representative of Act Global’s team to attend the training course in Bulgaria. This training course was a continuation of the one from Thailand, where each participating country was given tasks to complete. Act Global as a team from Indonesia, was given the task to produce 10 videos for this project, along with some other group tasks.

Social Media Literacy for Women’s Rights is a project that is socio-educational, with the goal of strengthening the capacity and awareness of organizations working in the field of gender equality. Its primary goals are to enhance the capacity of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to use social media and open educational resources and our very primary notion of creating these open educational resources is even more useful because we believe gathering members from South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe, to be a critical component because this means we will be able to share knowledge, learn and grow, network, and discuss best practices.

Training Course: Gender Equality Issue and Diving Down Exploring Thailand

From May 5th to 13th 2022, Act Global Teams left Bali to go to Thailand to attend the “Social Media Literacy for Women Rights” training course. The Act Global team that has a chance to go to Thailand was,  Harun Arrasyid, Silvian Joy, and Kurnia Wardhani. We represented Act Global at the event held in Bangkok to discuss issues of gender inequality and women’s rights.

On Wednesday, 10th March 2022 Act Global was joined by a discussion space held by Boleh Belajar and Girl in Tech Community to speak about the role of women in this digital era. This discussion is to empower women in technology through digital media. Women Resistance: Let’s Break the Bias

On Saturday, 12th of March 2022, Act Global organized a discussion about women and gender bias. The aim of this discussion is to find out more about how bias always tends to discriminate against one’s gender. We invited Dara Ayu Nugroho to share her experience on this matter.
