13 young people from Spain, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Kenya, Germany, Republic Dominica and Estonia were in Madrid for a (I)migration + Action = Global Reaction Training Course. This course focused on the global movement of people and on issues of migration. This course challenged personal understanding of the field of immigration studies, categorizations of the different populations studied, analyzes new trends in immigration studies and global population movement. Berlin, the capital Germany, is the epitome of kaleidoscope, comprised of diverse colorful mix of cultures. Various cultures that have been integrated well into a single system makes Berlin the capital of multiculturalism in Europe. People respect and tolerate each other, no social gap appeared in the society. Berlin is currently hosting around 2.000 Syrian, making Berlin a more colorful blend of cultures. Hence, Berlin was chosen as the study visit subject for our project which is called “Development of Capacities for Work with (I)migrants”. Read more

This project has given 8 volunteers from Italy and the UK a chance to volunteer for 1 month in Bali, Indonesia. The project will take place at two different times, first in August and the second in September. During the project volunteers will be asked to make a video and a podcast about a social issue of their choosing. This will then be uploaded to Act Global’s social media outlets as well as though our partner’s website.

Voices of Creativity was a long-term volunteer project working with six countries across Europe, Asia and Africa. This project has been lead by Estonian based NGO Seiklejate Vennaskond who was granted the funding from the European Commission for it’s delivery. The project gave the opportunity to 12 young people from Estonia, Turkey and Spain to volunteer in youth work in Indonesia, Nepal or Mozambique. Their service lasted for 6 months and volunteers worked with children and young people with fewer opportunities in schools and orphanages. In Indonesia 4 young people volunteered in the local community and share the skills and talents over the course of this time.
