On Saturday, September 4th, 2021, Act Global organized a webinar called “Engineering Career in Japan”, the event was held online with 40 participants. We invited Fritz Dean Rivo Gultom as a speaker, he was a mechanical engineer in a Japanese multinational company. He is also one of the alumni of Mechanical Engineering, Gajah Mada University, Indonesia. We hope that the experience shared by Mr.Fritz can motivate us more and add insight into career life in Japan.

On Saturday, 21st of August we held our Youth Social  Entrepreneurship Workshop with Moodle workshop at STMIK Primakara, Denpasar, with strict health protocol. This workshop is a part of the YSEEAM project (Youth Social Entrepreneurship Education with Moodle for All). This project is a 24 month-project (2019-2021) co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union under the KA2 action for Capacity Building in the field of Youth.

We often hear about the glaciers phenomenon that has been melting. According to the Nature journal reports from the measurement of three-dimensional satellites, it said that the world’s glaciers are melting faster with a defrosting release rate of 31% compared to 15 years ago. Using over 20 years of satellite data, scientists calculated that the world’s 220,000 mountain glaciers have lost more than 328 billion tons of ice and snow per year since 2015.

To discuss this issue, we invite dr. Dito Anurogo, M.Sc as a speaker. dr. Dito himself is an active lecturer at the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar and an author of several health books. He is also a founder of The School of Life Institute, and currently studying for a doctoral degree at Taipei Medical University.
